Mission Trip - Outreaches
Roca Eterna and The Casa host several mission teams during the year
Depending on the team's goals we can offer them a glimpse of life here in the poorest of neighborhoods and schools. Once fed, and given clothing or toiletries, they are open to hearing the gospel and often want prayer. Even the teams who don't speak Spanish can pray along with a translator in their small groups.
The teams prepare the food we hand out or prepare the Roca Eterna Hot Dog food truck which is used year-round by our home fellowship groups for outreach purposes.
They participate with the children in the school for the mentally and physically challenged, in addition to feeding them lunch.
We also feed people waiting outside of the hospitals. Often the entire family will bring grandma in on the bus from their small village. They use up their pesos on bus fare and many don't have cash for food. Again, we pass out food, fruit and water and offer to pray for them. They are worried about their loved one inside and really want prayer. Amazing how God uses these "gringos" in that way!
